About BHMS

The Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) is an undergraduate programme that provides comprehensive education in Homoeopathy along with essential knowledge of modern medical and health sciences.

The programme focuses on understanding the principles and philosophy of Homoeopathy, homoeopathic medicines, case analysis, clinical diagnosis, patient care and practical healthcare training.

BHMS students are trained to understand patients holistically and develop professional skills through classroom learning, laboratory education, clinical exposure and compulsory internship.

The programme is regulated by the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH) and follows the standards prescribed for undergraduate homoeopathic education in India.

Course Duration

The BHMS programme has a total duration of 5½ years, including:

  • 4½ years of academic and clinical education
  • 1 year of compulsory internship

The internship provides students with practical clinical exposure and helps them apply their academic learning in healthcare settings.
