DEPARTMENT OF ANATOMY:-

Anatomy is the grammar of medical science and important to learn medicine. Anatomy is taught to our students by various methods
1. Gross anatomy - by dissecting the human cadaver
2. Micro anatomy - showing microscopic slides of various organs
3. Developmental anatomy - by showing video clips
4. Radiological anatomy - by showing radiological images


DEPARTMENT OF PHYSIOLOGY AND BIOCHEMISTRY:-

A well developed, spacious laboratory with capacity to conduct regular practical, tutorials & demonstrations has been setup. The laboratory is warranted and equipped with state-of-the-art equipments. Electronic Audio Visual aids are used by the faculty members to teach the functions, process & interrelationship of the different systems of the body and to equip the student with clinical reference in diagnosing as well as treating.
DEPARTMENT OF MATERIA MEDICA:-

The Department of Materia Medica aims at providing a sound knowledge of the effectiveness of homoeopathic drugs. The department has a good number of charts on display for the students' reference. Regular workshops are conducted for the students by the faculty for facilitating them to prescribe medicines correctly and efficiently. Several books of related subjects are available for reference in the adjoined departmental library.
       Students learn practical medicine prescription with the help of bedside clinical classes held weekly. Case-taking from a homoeopathic perspective, analysis and prescription are taught effectively. A research project on clinical drug proving has been commenced for increasing the present knowledge of drug's actions and understanding the effects of new or relatively unknown drugs..


DEPARTMENT OF HOMOEOPATHIC PHARMACY:-

It aims at teaching students the rational application of Homoeopathy through medicinal preparations as per the standard procedures. The department has a state-of-the-art laboratory with sophisticated instruments and chemicals needed to perform experiments. Various charts depicting information about drugs sources are used as teaching aids. The college maintains its own medicinal garden with different plant species of medicinal value. Macroscopic and microscopic study of plant specimens is carried out for facilitating learning. Besides dried specimens are also used for preparing herbarium sheets imparting knowledge about identification of drugs.


DEPARTMENT OF SURGERY:-

The Department of Surgery offers a range of academic surgical programs, organized according to the prescribed curriculum and comprising of theory and clinical sections. The department is supported by a minor as well as major OT for basic operative procedures in accordance with the requirements of B.H.M.S course. Students are required to study cases of in-house patients (pertaining to surgical procedures) and present the same for clinical classes held thrice a week. They learn to study, examine, analyze, investigate and diagnose cases in both IPD and OPD.


DEPARTMENT OF OBSTETRICS AND GYNECOLOGY:-

The Gynecology and obstetrics department imparts basic necessary training in the subject. A daily Gynae & Obs OPD ensures adequate cases to be presented for clinical training of students. The students are taught how complete gynecological examination is performed.Students are also trained on performing complete antenatal check ups on pregnant women who attend the OPD. IUCD insertion and MTP procedures are demonstrated at the adjoining OT.


DEPARTMENT OF ORGANON:-

The department of organon of medicine instills the knowledge of the philosophy of homoeopathy. The department ensures that students gain a sound comprehension of the various principles laid down by the master Dr. Hahnemann himself in the form of doctrines or aphorisms. The association of philosophy into clinical practice is a demanding task, which is fulfilled with the help of various descriptive clinical classes held weekly. The department gives a chance of open discussion to the students through tutorials and seminars.


DEPARTMENT OF REPERTORY:-

Homoeopathy is a science and art and Repertory is an artistic compilation of the symptoms of the Homoeopathic Materia Medica arranged in such a way that they may be reproduced when required. Use of different repertories & repertorising a case trains the budding doctors to arrive at a similimum or the constitutional homoeopathic remedy for the patient. Teaching is supported through laminated charts detailing each topic.


DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY MEDICINE:-

The department of community medicine provides a platform for clinical education at the primary health care front. For better comprehension of the same there are various models, charts and specimens. Apart from theory lectures, students are also involved in certain health programmes like Pulse Polio immunization where they play an active participatory role. Free medical camps are arranged in Alpha, Beta, Gamma sectors, Betma and Mandav villages to provide health education & medical aid to patients.


DEPARTMENT OF PATHOLOGY:-

The department of pathology is equipped with monocular microscope, incubator, hot air oven, and various chemicals. Teaching through microscopic study of different pathological specimen is carried out under supervision of experienced faculty.


DEPARTMENT OF FORENSIC MEDICINE AND TOXICOLOGY:-

The department has demonstrative materials like Weapons, that are beautifully displayed over a wooden frame; Organic and Inorganic poisons specimens; Poisonous plants preserved in attractive containers for demonstration, Charts, diagrams, models etc of medico legal interest are also displayed.
